The Founding Tables — Charlotte

Charlotte, you're invited to something different.

Ten extraordinary hosts. Ten independent supper clubs. One unforgettable city.

10 founding host spots — our recruitment goal

0 dinners bookable today — this is pre-launch

The Founding Tables is an early-access campaign. We are recruiting the city's first host class — applications are reviewed, not automatically admitted — and no events are on sale. Come hungry. Leave connected.

Two ways in

Your city. Your people. Your seat at the table.

For hosts

Become one of the founding ten.

If you cook like it matters and set a table like it's an occasion, we'd love to meet you. Independent supper clubs build their own identity — your name, your menu, your regulars. We help Charlotte find your door.

  • Early brand spotlight across HOUSEGUEST
  • Priority onboarding help shaping your first Dinner Drop
  • Featured listing at pilot launch

For diners

Be first to the table.

The early-access list is how Charlotte hears first: which hosts are revealed, where their clubs are taking shape, and when the inaugural Dinner Drops are announced. No cost, no commitment — just a head start.

  • First word on host reveals and Dinner Drops
  • Updates across NoDa, Plaza Midwood, South End & beyond
  • A say in what the pilot becomes

Joining the list is not a reservation — there's nothing to book yet.

New to all this?

What is a supper club?

A supper club is dinner hosted in someone's home — or backyard, or converted bungalow — for a small group of guests who mostly don't know each other yet. The food is personal. The table is shared. The host isn't a restaurant; they're a neighbor with a gift and a reason to use it.

HOUSEGUEST is the discovery layer, never the house: every club keeps its own identity, members, and rules.

  1. 01

    We find the hosts

We're hand-selecting ten Charlotte home cooks and chefs — the person in your building who everyone already wants an invitation from.

  2. 02

    They create unforgettable Dinner Drops

Each host runs their own independent supper club: their menu, their dates, their regulars. We help them shape the first drop and find their people.

  3. 03

    Charlotte gathers

Strangers sit down at one long table and get up as regulars. Ten tables becomes ten neighborhoods where dinner means something.

An invitation to imagine

Tables we dream of.

Four directions the Charlotte pilot could take. This is a moodboard, not a menu — none of these dinners exist yet. They're the shape of what your host class might become.

Illustrative moodboard

Signature Southern

Cast-iron cornbread, slow greens, a roast that took all afternoon. The table where every Charlotte story starts.

Illustrative — not a live dinner

Coastal seafood

The coast is three hours away and it's still on the menu: oysters shucked to order, shrimp and rice perloo, lemon chess pie.

Creative fusion

Benne and gochujang in the same kitchen. Charlotte's newer cooks bring the whole map to one table.

Illustrative — not a live dinner

Chef's tasting

A counter, eight seats, a menu written that week. Fine dining without the hush — the cook is an arm's length away.

The founding host proposition

Be early. Be first.

The founding ten are the hosts who help shape the pilot from the beginning. Here's what we're proposing — a pilot program whose terms are still being built, with your input part of the process.

  • Early brand spotlightYour club and your story featured as HOUSEGUEST introduces Charlotte to the concept.
  • Priority onboarding helpHands-on guidance shaping your first Dinner Drop — menus, pricing thinking, and how your club page tells its story.
  • Featured listing at pilot launchWhen the Charlotte pilot goes live, founding clubs are front and center.
  • A voice in the pilotDirect line to the founding team as we decide how clubs, drops, and memberships actually work.

To be clear: these are proposed pilot benefits, not a promise of income. No fees are being charged today, no payouts are guaranteed, and nothing you see here is a live commercial offer.

Guest early access

Hear about Charlotte first.

Early-access diners hear first about host reveals, Dinner Drop announcements, and the inaugural invites as the pilot takes shape. Tell us what you're hungry for and we'll tell you when the table is set.

  • · First word on who Charlotte's founding hosts are
  • · Invitations to inaugural dinners once they exist
  • · Occasional campaign updates — never spam, and you can leave anytime

We're honest about the stage we're at: email delivery for the campaign isn't switched on yet — we're building the list now and will confirm when updates actually start.

The sample clubs on Discover are fictional demo tables — not Charlotte's launch.

Fair questions

Asked and answered.

Still curious about something? The early-access form has room for notes, or just say hello when we reach out.

Is my host application approved automatically?

No. Every application is read by a person on our team. Submitting one doesn't admit you, create any public listing, or promise income — it starts a conversation. If it looks like a fit, we'll reach out to talk menus, dates, and what your club could be.

How do guests get invited?

Join the early-access list. As founding hosts are confirmed and the pilot's first Dinner Drops take shape, updates and invitations go to the list first. Nothing is bookable today — the list is how you'll know the moment that changes.

Can I book a dinner in Charlotte today?

Not yet — and anyone who says otherwise isn't us. The Founding Tables is a pre-launch campaign: we're recruiting the first ten hosts and building the guest list. The dinners you can browse elsewhere on this site are fictional sample experiences for the concept demo.

Where in Charlotte will dinners happen?

Hosts choose their own neighborhoods, and that's part of the fun. We're recruiting across NoDa, Plaza Midwood, South End, Elizabeth, Uptown, and beyond. We never publish hosts' home addresses — guests receive location details only after a seat is confirmed, once real dinners exist.
